Breathe easy with the 5 best CPAP providers in Toronto!

cpap-providers-toronto
We extensively test and research all services we review. Here's why you can trust us.

I’ve been snoring loud enough to scare off pets and partners for years, so trust me when I say I’ve tried just about everything to address it, short of duct tape. Turns out, a proper CPAP machine beats the nose strips and midnight nudges any day!

Finding the right CPAP providers in Toronto was half the battle, as some were overpriced, and others just plain useless. Here are the ones that helped me and people I know sleep like humans (not like obsolete rattling fridges) again.

How much do CPAP providers in Toronto charge?

CPAP machines in Toronto typically cost between CAD 800 and CAD 2,000 before insurance, with OHIP covering up to 75%. This brings the average out-of-pocket to around CAD 325 to CAD 1,350 for a full setup.

Rentals are also available from about CAD 125 per month, or CAD 278 upfront plus deposit for short-term use.

How We Chose the Best

✔ Sleep therapy support – We looked for providers that offer follow-up consultations, mask fitting, and troubleshooting (and not just equipment sales).
✔ Wide product range – A good provider should stock top brands and offer a good selection of machines, masks, and accessories for different needs.
✔ Transparent pricing/rental options – Clear cost breakdowns, rental plans, and return policies are musts to help avoid hidden fees and make smarter financial decisions.
✔ OHIP registration and direct billing – It’s best if the company is authorized under the ADP (Assistive Devices Program) to offer OHIP-subsidized equipment and handle claims directly.

I was starting to feel lost chasing sleep (not sheep) lab referrals, until Canadian CPAP Equipment delivered their at-home sleep apnea test kit (WatchPAT ONE) straight to my door. This allowed me to sleep in familiar surroundings while a licensed respirologist reviewed my data.

The results were ready in about 24 hours with no lab visit required. I also didn’t need a doctor’s referral to get tested, and respiratory therapists followed up by phone to explain the findings and recommend next steps.

I appreciated that they offered full CPAP/BiPAP gear, mask fitting, and ongoing therapy if needed. This meant I could move seamlessly from diagnosis to treatment without switching providers, making the entire process smooth and hassle-free.

The service was fast, private, and convenient—far better than waiting months for a lab appointment. It’s important to note, however, that Ontario’s ADP/OHIP doesn’t fund at-home sleep tests since they’re considered Level 3, so customers must pay out of pocket. I’d recommend checking with your private insurance provider, as I did, to confirm reimbursement eligibility.

Canadian CPAP Equipment also operates exclusively online, serving clients nationwide through their digital platform.

Pros

  • Convenient at-home sleep apnea test
  • Virtual consultation and follow-up
  • Seamless testing to treatment process

Cons

  • No BBB accreditation
  • Sleep apnea test not covered by OHIP/ADP

Excellent customer service!

The service was great, very supportive and informative. They went above and beyond, even by answering my email questions after hours. Highly recommend your home sleep test. My mother showed a serious case of apnea, and she is now on her way to getting treatment – if we had not done the home test, we would still be in doubt.

This is a great company

This is a great company. The customer service is exceptional, and the at-home sleep test is very user-friendly. I highly recommend this company.

Having snored like a freight train since puberty, I found the expert mask fitting and setup from EssentialAir CPAP highly effective. I can safely say that the company’s respiratory therapists know their stuff, telling me that my snoring won’t go away with a tennis ball strapped to my back.

They stock ResMed, Philips, Fisher&Paykel, and other options, so sleep apnea patients have serious choices right downtown. As a bonus, there are Thornhill and Mississauga branches, too (with free shipping across Canada).

EssentialAir’s ties with sleep clinics and hospitals mean seamless OHIP billing and insurance support, so there’s no more bouncing around to claim what’s owed. My colleague said he paid just $85 out of pocket, thanks to group insurance plus OHIP ADP coverage.

That said, pricing isn’t exactly front and centre with them, as some users have reported an extra $300+ setup or admin fees beyond the machine cost. It’s best to ask up front to avoid this scenario.

Pros

  • Wide selection of premium brands with free nationwide shipping
  • Strong medical partnerships
  • Expert clinic support
  • Mask-fit guarantee

Cons

  • No fully transparent online pricing
  • No BBB accreditation

My elderly dad needed serious help sleeping, and InspiAIR’s respiratory therapists patiently walked him through the mask fitting and machine setup. This made the entire process feel like proper medical support and not just a sales pitch for us.

The company carries major brands like ResMed, Philips Respironics, and Fisher&Paykel. More importantly, they let clients test masks in dedicated fitting rooms to ensure a perfect fit and seal.

The follow-up care also impressed my family. InspiAIR checks within a week, then at one month, with more support available as needed. This ensured my dad stayed comfortable on his machine.

InspiAIR accepts ADP/OHIP funding and coordinates with local sleep clinics, so billing and insurance stuff went through clearly without Dad chasing paper around. It also helped that the staff at the Toronto clinic are multilingual and communicate clearly.

The downside is the company’s lack of BBB accreditation, which might concern users looking for formal transparency or dispute resolution options.

Pros

  • Major brand availability
  • Thorough follow-up care
  • Expert sleep and respiratory therapists

Cons

  • Slightly above average pricing
  • No BBB accreditation

They made sure I chose the right machine for my needs

I’m very grateful for the help I received in buying my CPAP device. Laura was knowledgeable, patient, and supportive throughout the process. She took the time to explain everything clearly, answered all my questions, and made sure I chose the right machine for my needs. Thanks to her guidance, I feel much more confident and comfortable using the device. Highly recommend their assistance to anyone new to CPAP therapy.

They do not pressure you to buy anything and are so very helpful

Everyone at this InspiAir location is amazing. They do not pressure you to buy anything and are so very helpful. We had an appointment with Wallace today for my father’s CPAP, who was extremely patient and informative. Thank you to Wallace and the InspiAir team!! We appreciate you guys.

Like me, my kid brother was struggling through sleepless nights (his poor wife and kids, as well), until MedPro’s respiratory therapists stepped in with a patient in-person or virtual setup and instruction. Now, he can safely say their nights are more peaceful.

He said the experience felt very much like medical care, along with a full suite of CPAP machines, BiPAP units, masks, accessories, and even home oxygen gear to support sleep therapy right here in Toronto.

They perform home sleeping tests, coordinate OHIP/ADP funding, and handle insurance paperwork to minimize red tape. My brother appreciated that he wasn’t wasting time chasing support.

So far, his follow-ups have included ongoing support, data monitoring, and even offers of free loaner machines should his device need repair or service (with hyperactive twin toddlers, he just might need this!).

He did mention slight incidents of upselling tactics (what he felt were unnecessary extras) during the process, though a firm “no” was all it took to nip those in the bud. After all, MedPro’s customer care is backed by over 25 years in respiratory health, so he believes these were isolated events.

Pros

  • Comprehensive respiratory services
  • Strong insurance and OHIP handling
  • Free loaner machines and repairs
  • Over 25 years in the business

Cons

  • Upselling incidents
  • No BBB accreditation

Very knowledgeable and patient, explaining all aspects of the CPAP therapy

First-time CPAP user here. Kate was awesome. Very knowledgeable and patient explaining all aspects of the CPAP therapy and equipment from machine and mask options, operation, cleaning and care. All questions and concerns were answered with kindness and without feeling rushed. The clinic is small but private. Pricing seemed better than other places I called. Would definitely recommend to others.

Very knowledgeable and patient when it comes to explaining every detail

Highly recommended! Their clinicians, especially Kate, are very knowledgeable and patient when it comes to explaining every detail regarding the treatment course. She is very polite and professional. The place is also welcoming and clean. Good job to the team, you take care of your clients from start to finish. Will come back and refer to my family and friends for such a wonderful experience in your clinic.

5. Air Voel

My best friend, who was also my college dorm-mate, had been gasping through nights, which made all of us who witnessed the phenomenon concerned for his health. Thankfully, Air Voel’s online setup and remote made everything simple for him.

They offer a broad range of machines and supplies, from the ResMed AirSense to portable travel units and masks available across Canada. Pricing often includes VIP discounts (of up to 40%!) for online members, with free shipping over CAD 50.

When I looked them up, I found the pricing to be competitive, as well. For instance, the ResMed AirSense 10 is listed at around CAD 799, down from the usual $1,499 price tag!

As a bonus, Air Voel also offers home sleep apnea testing shipped directly, which was handy for my pal, as he was too knee-deep in work to take a leave for sleep clinic testing.

The downside is that Ontario ADP won’t cover devices purchased this way, so my pal had to verify insurance coverage himself. This streamlined approach also works better for remote access but lacks in-person clinical touch and follow-up.

Pros

  • Competitive online pricing
  • Home sleep apnea testing is available
  • Large inventory of trusted brands
  • Free Canada-wide shipping

Cons

  • Not ADP/OHIP funded
  • No BBB accreditation

Air Voel is a company that provides what they promised

Honestly, Air Voel is a company that provides what they promised, and nowadays, that is not easy to find. They deliver what they promote, expediently, and quality brand products. No doubt, I will promote them to friends and family.
