The team at the Murray Koffler Urologic Wellness Centre played a crucial role in helping me recover from my urinary tract issue. Located within Mount Sinai Hospital, this centre is renowned for its comprehensive services and outstanding team of urologists.
Dr. Kirk Lo, my attending physician, has been a staff urologist here since 2004 and specialises in male reproductive medicine. His kindness and meticulous care were instrumental in my full recovery.
Apart from their remarkable staff, I am particularly impressed with their specialised clinics, such as the Chronic Scrotal Pain Clinic and the Prostatitis Clinic, designed to address these specific conditions.
Unfortunately, though my experience here was excellent, some former patients have mentioned having to wait past their appointment times before being seen.

But that’s just the tip of the iceberg. He, alongside his fellow urologists at Atrium Surgical Center, is equally known for his comprehensive prostate cancer treatments.
Specifically, they offer cutting-edge diagnostic tests for prostate cancer, leveraging biomarker testing, genomic testing, and MRI to ensure accurate detection and monitoring.
They also provide Nanoknife Focal Therapy, a minimally invasive procedure that targets and destroys prostate cancer cells while sparing healthy tissue.
However, it’s worth mentioning that while most patients speak highly of Dr. Chan, his front desk staff still has some room for improvement. Some patients have encountered rude behaviour, which takes away from the otherwise excellent experience.

Maple Urology is an amazing clinic led by Dr. Alaina Garbens. Since starting her practice in 2019, Dr. Garbens has excelled in treating kidney stones, renal masses, and bladder issues.
Her expertise shines through in the unique and comprehensive treatments she offers. Beyond general urology, Dr. Garbens provides specialised overactive bladder treatments that combine physiotherapy, medications, and lifestyle changes to manage frequent urges to urinate.

Additionally, she is adept at performing the Nanoknife treatment, a minimally invasive procedure designed to safely remove prostate cancer cells.
