If you’re on the same page, the companies we broke down below are known for keeping pools swim-ready, without taking too much time and cash.
How much do pool cleaning services cost in Toronto?
In Toronto, pool cleaning services often cost $100–$150 per visit if you opt for weekly maintenance, $120–$200 per visit for bi-weekly setups, and $250–$500 for seasonal ones.
Aside from frequency, the final bill is highly influenced by the pool’s shape/size, your location, the water’s quality, and the required chemicals.

When we brainstormed this list, the 1981-founded Bremner Pool popped into our heads right away.
They’ll stay even if you take away the years. For one, you can hire them for many things, such as maintenance, renovations, and gas installation.
And it’s not sloppy work either. Many praise their expertise in making pools look brand new, with a portfolio of award-winning projects to vouch for that.
Bremner Pool’s full-service approach may not suit everyone’s budget, though. It’s prepaid, with two main packages: one spans 12 weeks ($1,512.11+HST), the other 16 ($1,936.66+HST).
Bromine is also not included in the standard weekly bundles, so you might pay extra if your pool uses the said chemical.
The good news is that surprises are rare, thanks to weekly maintenance sheets and reports.
We can say the same with the quotes. The pool owners we chatted with said they got accurate ones.

Certified and insured, People for Pools is a safe bet for pool owners across the GTA.
They’re also a handy one. Repairs, upgrades, and even construction are offered, so no, you don’t have to ring other contractors if you’re going beyond cleaning.
Products like filters, heaters, and pumps aren’t available just yet, sadly. It’s mostly chemicals they sell.
At least the plans are customizable, with the services priced individually (and reasonably). Not getting locked into a long-term and pricey care contract will always be a win.
You can even attend Pool School, a training session where maintenance is discussed for 2–3 hours. Learn lots, and cleaners become optional, marking the $400 fee a worthy splurge.
Just make sure to call in advance. People for Pools is one busy firm, and you’ll want to know their current rates; sometimes, they can fluctuate without warning.

Bart, Jakub, and their team have really been excellent. They installed a new liner and Salt Cell system for our pool after it was left in a terrible state of repair from the previous crew. Bart especially has been very supportive and went above and beyond to solve any issues we’ve had throughout the season. Highly recommended.

If we’re strictly taking efficiency, Ontario Pool Services (OPS) is one of the best picks in town. Most say they consistently arrive and wrap on time.
The prices are often said to be fair as well, which is another reason their clients stay for more than a year. One, for instance, has been with them for over 3 years.
Our interviewees didn’t raise concerns about “ghosting,” rudeness, or late replies either. As per them, OPS always has a friendly rep to answer concerns right away.
But do note they can get fully booked. The crew services the entire GTA, and they’re hired for complex tasks like construction and excavation.
The “lighter” portfolio might also be a snag for some, especially next to those with more projects to flex.
What’s not light is their product list. Heaters, automation systems, LED lighting, pumps, and filters are on offer.

We’ve had an outstanding experience with Ontario Pool Services from start to finish. They didn’t just maintain our pool—they designed and built it from the ground up, and we couldn’t be happier with the results.
Since completion, they’ve handled every opening and closing with the same high level of care and professionalism. Each spring, they open the pool efficiently and ensure all systems are running perfectly. In the fall, they take great care in closing it properly, protecting it through the winter.

My workmate with a pool usually goes with Swim Clean Pool Service. When asked why, they pointed to the company’s affordable prices, honest quotes, and 15 years of experience.
They rate the cleaning service positively, too. Projects are usually finished as planned and to a high standard.
Past that, Swim Clean’s service list is lengthier than most. Heck, you can phone them for acid washing, seasonal care, and a variety of equipment or chemical orders.
Some believe their phone reps could do better, though. One common gripe is about their rudeness and late callbacks.
Demand for their services is also quite high, so don’t laze off. We suggest calling them ahead to avoid waiting.
Fortunately, they run 24/7, which can’t be said for the rest. You can swing by the office or call from 8 am–7 pm, or email them outside those hours (bookings are required on Sundays).

We’ve been using Vadym and Alex for our pool services for several years now, and we couldn’t be happier. Specializing in maintenance, closing, and opening, TLC Pool Services is worth a shot if your in-ground or above-ground pool needs sorting.
On the pricing front, they’re quite fair, with several clients even saying, “They’re more than reasonable.” The cleaning services, for one, only cost between $100 and $200.
Being a smaller team also means they’re closer to their clients, many of whom come back season after season.
Tye Campbell (the owner and founder) plays a role in that. He often provides clients with free advice and services, like power washing the area for a cleaner look.
In addition, he ensures his crew stays reliable even with fewer hands. Projects and concerns are often handled promptly, including urgent requests.
Too bad you have to book vacuuming separately, as it’s not part of their pool opening service.
Oh, and you have to look elsewhere for equipment or chemicals other than liquid chlorine.
