The first time I travelled abroad was memorable. I explored forests and ancient ruins—Machu Picchu was such a standout—and experienced cultures different from my own. It was so much fun—until the moment I contracted malaria.
That moment was a lesson: I definitely should’ve listened to my friends to go to a travel clinic first before going overseas. If I’d done that, I would’ve been protected from various diseases.
Now that I’ve learned my lesson, I keep this list of the best travel clinics in Toronto for my next trips abroad.
How much does a travel clinic consultation cost in Toronto?
A consultation at a travel clinic usually costs between C$50 and C$70. Take note that this is for consultation only. If you’re planning to get a vaccine shot, you’ll have to pay an additional fee of C$50–C$70.

ABC Travel Clinic

Address: 4646 Dufferin St, Unit #3, Suite #11
Operating Hours:
- Monday to Friday—9 am to 6 pm
- Saturday—9 am to 3 pm
- Sunday—10 am to 2 pm
Contact Number: +16472422177
ABC Travel Clinic is right across from G Ross Lord Park in North York. There are various bus stops nearby, making it easy to reach via public transportation, and if you prefer to drive, it has its own parking lot as well (free of charge for clients).
What if you can’t find the time to get to the physical location yet? You can book a virtual consultation instead! You can choose the consultation to be video, phone, or message, and you can even book for a late evening slot.
I’m impressed with the lineup of vaccines here. They have vaccines for influenza, typhoid, yellow fever, Japanese encephalitis, HPB, hepatitis, and more. This clinic can also treat the usual travel illnesses like malaria and traveller’s diarrhea.
I also really like that they can offer travel advice to certain destinations, such as Costa Rica, Cuba, Thailand, and the Philippines. I don’t expect this service from a travel clinic, but it’s a welcome surprise, especially for first-time visitors to these countries.
Unfortunately, this clinic isn’t covered by the Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP). But they do accept private insurance, which is great news.

Incredible experience
“The entire experience with ABC Travel Clinic was incredible! I was stressed going into it but after speaking with Teya and getting advised on all vaccines that I would need, I was immediately much more relaxed. This clinic properly takes the time to sit down with you and go through all your questions and worries. Also quite affordable compared to other clinics! Definitely will be recommending to everyone I know who needs to get travel vaccines!”
Friendly staff
“Great service! At no moment we felt pressured to purchase any of the recommended medication or vaccines. Teya is super friendly and offered great advice tailored to our itinerary. We will definitely recommend this place and come back in the future.”

Passport Health Downtown Toronto Travel Clinic

Address: 44 Victoria St, Suite 1501
Operating Hours:
- Monday to Friday—7 am to 9 pm
- Saturday—8 am to 6 pm
Contact Number: +14168403426
Passport Health is a popular chain of travel clinics, so they have many locations throughout the country. Even in the GTA, there are a few, so you won’t struggle finding one close to you.
This clinic has vaccines for all sorts of conditions, such as hepatitis, Japanese encephalitis, polio, and rabies. They can also treat common illnesses like dengue and malaria.
I like that they already have vaccines categorized based on which country you’re visiting. That way, you don’t have to think too much about what vaccines to get; just tell them where you’re going, and they’ll get the vaccines ready for you.
Travellers also love the staff here. They told me the nurses are cheerful and friendly, and they’re also informative without being too pushy about getting certain medications.
That said, clients don’t like the lack of transparency in the pricing. There’s no information about this on the website, so clients get surprised when they come on-site and discover the fees they have to pay.
The prices for the vaccines are also too high, according to many clients. Even with their insurance plans, they still need to shoulder some of the costs.

Thorough and professional service
“Thorough and professional review of the health risks one may face while travelling, customized to your health profile, immunization history, etc. A consultation makes good sense to make sure you don’t miss out on taking all necessary precautions to protect your health while overseas.”

Everest Travel Clinic Toronto

- Monday to Friday—10 am to 6 pm
- Saturday—10 am to 1 pm
Contact Number: +14166490470
When it comes to travel clinics, I recommend booking to avoid having to wait. But Everest Travel Clinic Toronto isn’t like that; it’s basically a walk-in clinic! Many clients told me that even with walk-ins, the whole process was still fast.
I’ve heard great things about the service here. One client shared that one practitioner entertained him and his daughter with funny banter, which made it easy to forget they’d just had vaccine shots.
I like the variety of vaccines here. They have the usual, such as COVID-19, influenza, malaria, typhoid, and cholera, but they also carry vaccines for rare but deadly diseases like meningitis. They even have a vaccine for traveller’s diarrhea!
I also like that they accept all major insurance carriers, such as Sun Life, Green Shield Canada, and Manulife. They can even send the bill directly to your provider, which is convenient.
Even though it’s in downtown Toronto, near the Royal Ontario Museum, this clinic can still be hard to find for first-timers because it’s tucked away in a narrow street instead of being along a busy road.

Down-to-earth and welcoming staff
“From the booking of our appointment to receiving the vaccines, Everest pharmacy staff; Mikail, Jason and Elena were so down-to-earth, welcoming, kind and yet very professional. Jason took the time to give us (my daughter and me)vital information, he answered all questions and ensured we got clarity about everything. Elena administered the shots so fast and Mikail tied the whole great experience up with very funny conversations. These three nice professionals deserve a 10-star if there was one. The service was really fast. I recommend Everest Travel Vaccine Clinic to any and everyone looking for top-notch service without breaking the bank. You will love them.”

Amazing service from start to finish
“Wow, what a nice experience! I’ve seen so many bad reviews for travel clinics and finally found this place while I was on Google Maps. From walk in to walk out, I was impressed with the service from all the staff here. I was greeted with a smile by Kumail and they sorted out my insurance as well while I was doing the consultation. I received advice on my trip to Vietnam from Jason and was provided my vaccines and medication on the same visit which was very convenient. I highly recommend this place for your pharmacy and travel needs.”

TravelMed Vaccine Center

Address: 600 Sherbourne St #204
Operating Hours:
- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday—9 am to 7 pm
- Wednesday—8 am to 7 pm
- Saturday—9:30 am to 6 pm
- Sunday—9 am to 5:30 pm
Contact Number: +14163464535
One of the main reasons TravelMed Vaccine Center is highly recommended is its convenient location. It’s right opposite the Sherbourne Subway Station. Because of this, getting to and from this clinic is a breeze.
Another great thing about this clinic is the customer service. Clients get served on time, and the staff puts the client at ease before administering the shot. The clinic even has halal options for the vaccines, which is a thoughtful consideration.
The pricing is the main point of contention here. While the consultation fee is cheap, the prices for the vaccines aren’t. Some clients even went so far as to say that the clinic charges more than the customary prices for the vaccines and drugs.
It also doesn’t help that the clinic doesn’t direct billing to your insurance company.
On the bright side, the clinic often holds special promos, such as free consultations during the holidays. At least, these promos help you save some money.

Excellent service
“This place was highly recommended by a friend and it was well-deserved. Excellent service provided start to finish. It was easy to book a time, I had the option to fill in the needed paperwork ahead of time and it was a completely seamless process once there. The doctor spent time talking me through the various considerations for the regions I was going to for Taiwan and Thailand. I didn’t feel rushed and left feeling confident in the info provided. I got the vaccines I needed at the appointment. Highly recommend if you are traveling abroad.”

He identified the vaccines I needed based on my previous history and where I would be travelling. He was very professional and up to date on the necessary vaccinations and did not oversell. There was no consultation fee on the day I attended. I would definitely recommend this travel clinic based on my excellent experience.”

Canadian Travel Clinics

Address: 250 University Ave, Suite 210, Dineen Building
Operating Hours: Monday to Friday—8:30 am to 2:30 pm
Contact Number: +18886720005
Canadian Travel Clinics is another popular chain of travel clinics in Canada. They have two locations in Toronto, both located downtown, so you can choose which one to go to.
It’s easy to book an appointment here. You just click the service on their website, and that’s it. Alternatively, you can give them a call. Some people even just walk in!
I also commend the clinic for being clean and well-organized. First-time clients here get a comprehensive assessment, and based on that, the practitioners give them personalized advice. It’s a great way to streamline the consultation process.
The staff is great at dealing with kids as well, which is good news since many of their clients are children. They’re patient and accommodating, and they know just what to do for kids who are scared of needles.
The rates here aren’t cheap, though. The consultation alone costs C$79, and the vaccines’ prices range from C$70 to C$340. You’ll also have to pay a nursing fee of C$40.
