For me, undergoing annual checkups is a must if I want to maintain a body free from diseases and illnesses. Unfortunately, it has become increasingly difficult nowadays to see a doctor in my local hospital when it comes to non-emergency matters.
That’s why I’m grateful that walk-in clinics exist. There, I can access basic medical services without worrying that I have to wait for hours or schedule an appointment days ahead just to see a medical professional.
Here are some walk-in clinics in Toronto you should definitely check out.
How We Chose
1. HealthOne Medical & Walk-In
Address: 110 Harbour St
Phone number: +1 416-663-5433
Business hours: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM (MON-FRI)
HealthOne Medical & Walk-In is a multidisciplinary walk-in clinic that was founded in 2017. They currently operate three locations in Toronto: Harbour Street, Front Street West, and North York.
The first thing that impressed me about this clinic is the wide range of services they offer, which include dentistry, optometry, rehabilitation, and mental health care. Each of their locations also has its own pharmacy where you can buy OTC and prescription medicine.
Even better, their clinics also have emergency care teams on-site who can provide urgent care for non-life-threatening medical cases!
As an accredited medical centre, they can direct bills to OHIP as well as most private insurance companies.
Sadly, they still have some kinks to work out, like their poor communication. Some former patients told me no one answered their calls and emails.
Pros
- Three locations in Toronto
- Wide range of medical services
- Urgent care for non-life-threatening emergencies
- Can direct bill to most private health insurance
Cons
- Doesn’t reply to enquiries sometimes
- Limited operating hours
I have always had a good experience here
“I have always had a good experience here. Tried the walk in, dentistry, physio, chiro and massage therapy. All are really good and care about getting you better. Love Megan for physio, Nancy and Minoo for massage and Dr. Vinnie from chiro. Not saying the others are not good. Just that I have been to these practitioners and they are outstanding 🔥”

2. Sanomed Medical Clinic
Address: 1000 Bay St. Unit 2
Phone number: +1 416-923-7770
Business hours:
9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (MON-FRI)
10:00 AM – 3:00 PM (SAT)
Founded in 2017 by Pouya and Nikoo Toulabi, Sanomed Medical Clinic is a walk-in clinic that provides both insured and non-insured medical services. Their services include walk-in clinic visits, family doctor consultations, travel consultations, and more.
Beyond those I’ve mentioned, they also have a fully-equipped testing lab where patients can get tuberculosis and COVID-19 tests. Furthermore, they also have a pharmacy where you can get specialised medicines like pre-exposure prophylaxis, a drug that reduces your chances of contracting HIV.
Thankfully, you won’t need to visit their clinic to buy your prescription meds since they offer free delivery to every address in Ontario.
Still, while it’s true that having a free drug delivery service is great, I was a bit worried when I heard that some patients encountered rude behaviour from Sanomed’s staff.
Pros
- Can do TB tests
- Offers pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) drug for HIV
- Offers free drug delivery in Ontario
Cons
- Some staff members are rude
- Long wait times on peak hours
Sanomed is the best walk-in clinic in the whole city
“Sanomed is the best walk-in clinic in the whole city. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Always explain questions, medications and inquires, this clinic tends to get busy but that’s just how good it is. Dr. Mark Broussenko is the best of the best. He’s very attentive and always helps comfort patients with their needs. I can’t stress how good he is. I’ve seriously seen many doctors and I finally found one that really is passionate and cares about their job. Definitely give this clinic a try!”

A walk-in clinic I’m particularly a fan of is Integra Health Care, which was established in 2015. They operate two locations in the city, one in The Exchange Tower and another in Commerce Court.
A key reason why I love this clinic is due to the vast range of services they offer. Aside from medical services like lab tests and family medicine, they also offer psychotherapy and physiotherapy services.
Furthermore, they have medical aesthetic services for men, like hair rejuvenation and non-surgical glans enhancement.
However, it should be noted that they tend to reach max capacity quickly. That’s why I suggest you take full advantage of their same-day booking services whenever possible.
Alternatively, they also offer virtual appointments if you don’t want to visit their clinic.
Pros
- Two locations in Toronto
- Offers psychotherapy and physiotherapy
- Has medical aesthetic services for men
- Virtual appointments available
Cons
- Tends to reach max capacity quickly
- Inconsistent operating hours
The service has always been excellent
“Been going to Integra for years. The chiropractor treatments have been making all the difference (I get them once a quarter or so when I throw my back out) and the service has always been excellent. Highly recommend!”

Had their walk in clinic service and it was amazing
“Had their walk-in clinic service and it was amazing. Dr Anthea Ho is nice and patient, she explained details to me clearly and made my worries go away. The student nurse who took my blood for a blood test did a great job too. Thank you all!💕”

10:00 AM – 3:00 PM (SAT and SUN)
Infinity Health is a walk-in clinic that has branches on Lower Simcoe Street and Oakville. Founded in 2011, they’ve grown into one of the city’s largest clinics due to their comprehensive services.
In fact, they’re a multidisciplinary clinic that offers walk-in medical services, family medicine, rehab services, and travel medicine consultations. They offer specialised health programs, including advanced sports therapy and weight management, which helped me lose weight recently.
Another amazing thing about them is their Advanced Access Scheduling program, which lets you skip waiting lines by booking a same-day appointment. They also offer phone and virtual consultations to reduce the number of patients on-site.
However, it has come to my attention that some of their staff, notably their front desk people, were criticised for their rude and dismissive behaviour.
Pros
- Two locations in Toronto
- Special programs like weight management
- Accepts same-day appointments
- Has phone and virtual consultations
Cons
- Rude and dismissive staff
- Tends to reach max capacity quickly
The service I’ve gotten every time has been amazing
“I’ve been coming to this clinic for years and the service I’ve gotten every time has been amazing. Dr. Daria is my doctor and she’s very awesome. She’s calm, collected, informative and makes me feel comfortable every time. She’s consistent and has never made me feel uncomfortable. Thanks Dr. Daria 🙂 Megan at the front as well is very nice to me and is patient with my million changes for my appointments and she still is so nice to me.
This clinic is great and consistent, so thank you guys for giving me a trusted place to go to!”

5. Town Care Walk-in Clinic

Town Care Walk-in Clinic, located in Scarborough, offers comprehensive medical services to patients with and without OHIP coverage.
While they may be a bit harder to reach for some of the GTA’s southern residents, it’s highly commendable to see that they offer services like paediatric care, minor surgeries, and contraception counselling.
Furthermore, they can also perform an extensive list of tests, like TB testing, STI testing, and even comprehensive medical examinations for drivers.
Another amazing thing I’d like to mention is that they also have their own pharmacy, where you can get prescription medications and diabetic supplies. Beyond that, they also offer free services like vaccine administration and medication review.
They can also deliver your meds for free anywhere in GTA!
Sadly, all this amazing stuff was a bit ruined when I found out that some patients encountered rude and dismissive behaviour from their staff.
Pros
- Will entertain patients without OHIP coverage
- Offers driver’s medical exam
- Free vaccine administration and medication review
- Free medicine delivery in GTA
Cons
- Location a bit far from southern GTA
- Some staff are rude
This clinic is thorough, efficient and clean
“Cannot say enough good things about this clinic! Showed up 20 minutes before opening and didn’t have to wait to be seen by a doctor. Dr. Ruan was so helpful, professional and kind. I haven’t had great experiences with walk-ins in the past due to wait times/doctors rushing their time with patients but this clinic is thorough, efficient and clean. Highly recommend.”

The efficiency of this clinic was amazing
“I try to avoid walk-in clinics as the wait times are usually horrible. Came here for pink eye antibiotics. I was in and out in 20 minutes with 6 people waiting in front of me. It was an hour after they opened on a Friday so that could be why, but the efficiency of this clinic was amazing. All the staff; from the receptionist, the RN, doctor to the pharmacy staff were incredibly nice.”
