The Best Termite Control Services in Toronto Destroying Termites Effectively!

best-termite-control-toronto-banner
We extensively test and research all services we review. Here's why you can trust us.

Termites are proof that you can’t ignore what you can’t see. These little devils chew through wood 24/7, and by the time you clock it, your property has already taken a battering.

Luckily, there are proven ways to avoid a thousand-dollar structural damage, and one of those is bringing in a termite control company.

If you’re looking for one, you can start with our personal picks below. Their methods work and last, so the termites don’t come back for another round of chewing your property to bits.

If you think you also have other pests at home, these general pest control services are also worth checking out.

How much does it cost to remove termites in Toronto?

In Toronto, $2,500 is the usual cost of removing termites from an average-sized property. Expect to pay more for larger properties with crawlspaces or severe infestations, such as those that reach sidewalks or garages.

The price of inspection is somewhere between $100 and $200 per visit, though some companies don’t charge inspection fees.

How We Chose

Experience: This review centres on local termite control companies nearing or beyond a decade of experience. The years were verified by reviewing local directories, LinkedIn profiles, business registries, and company histories.
Credentials: To ensure only qualified technicians are featured, we checked databases, registries, documents, and directories, looking for paperwork such as certifications, licenses, and accreditation. Awards were also factored in.
Customer Service: Calling, sending emails, interviewing clients, and reading through feedback helped us rate each company’s customer care. The primary traits we looked for were responsiveness, politeness, clarity, product knowledge, and proactivity. Extra points were given to those with same-day services, after-hours, or 24/7 support.
Service Range: Our choices offer inspection, identification, and removal services across different property types and areas, including lawns. The team confirmed that by calling and visiting websites.
Pricing: Apart from weighing the criteria above, rates and long-term effectiveness were compared to gauge value for money. The other aspects we considered were price transparency, discounts, free consults, and proximity to Toronto pricing.

1. Orkin Canada Pest Control

Address: 1361 Huntingwood Dr, Unit #3

Contact Details: +1 800-570-4157

Operating Hours: Daily – 24 hours

Website

We’re pretty sure Orkin Canada didn’t make it this far since 1901 by chance. Termites often disappear for good with their integrated, entomologist-approved program in place.

Long-term prevention is the main benefit of such an approach. Rather than providing clients with short-term extermination, their specialists inspect, treat, and monitor a property, offering preventive strategies in the end.

Using the eco-friendly Sentricon system ramps up the results. Termites carry back and distribute the bait to the entire colony, which slowly eliminates the entire population, the queen included.

If there’s a downside to that, it’s the price. Sentricon is highly effective (they even have a money-back guarantee), so don’t expect dirt-cheap rates.

Another snag is the possibility of ending with a less seasoned technician. That issue has come up before.

The good news is, Orkin’s staff are generally regarded as punctual and polite, no matter their experience level.

Pros

  • Open since 1901
  • Employs the effective Sentricon system
  • Has a 24/7 helpline
  • Punctual staff
  • Money-back guarantee

Cons

  • Can be pricey
  • Doesn’t always send seasoned technicians

Thorough and Honest

From my call for service to the technician’s visit, Orkin proved to live up to its reputation.

I was transferred to Bonnie who helped me set up the visit, she asked all the right questions and ensured that they would offer the exact services requested. She followed up with a quote and options and ensured we would have an expert sent over.

Richard was the technician, and he was prompt, thorough and honest. He let us know that we could take a different approach than what we requested, and this ended up saving us a considerable cost!

He communicated step by step and ensured we were ok with moving forward each step of the way.

I highly recommend Orkin for your pest control needs, and if you’re lucky enough to get to encounter Bonnie and Richard – know that you are getting top tier service!

Extremely Good

I had a very positive experience with Richard who came to my condo for an inspection. He was very professional and knowledgeable and explained everything to me in a way that I could understand. He was extremely good at his job and was very courteous and friendly and made me feel very comfortable and at ease in what could have been a very stressful situation. I highly commend him. There should be more Richards in the world! Thank you for the great service!

2. Acme Pest Solutions

Address: 24 Shallmar Blvd, Unit B1

Contact Details: +1 416-453-2444

Operating Hours:

  • Mon to Sat – 24 hours
  • Sun – 6 am to 10 pm

Website

Termite detection is Acme Pest Solutions’ specialty. They employ moisture detectors and thermal imaging to “uncover” termite activity inside beams or walls, as well as to determine entry points or which species they’re dealing with.

For removal, it’s all non-toxic solutions, mainly liquid barriers, wood treatments, and baiting techniques. Past clients claim even hidden colonies didn’t stand a chance.

Acme monitoring things and conducting follow-ups certainly helps. Some companies only provide removal services.

It’s their extra solutions that really pop, though. They can fix damaged areas and tidy up, saving you from booking another crew for repairs or cleaning (but if you’re after a deeper clean, these cleaning services can make it happen!).

You can also phone them for same-day services. Extra charges may apply, but they provide free, reasonable quotes along with a money-back guarantee.

The downside is that most competitors have more staff ready to go.

What’s more, Acme’s round-the-clock helpline is on hold on Sundays.

Pros

  • Operating for over 20 years
  • High-tech detection tools
  • Has same-day services
  • Reasonable pricing
  • Money-back guarantee

Cons

  • Smaller team
  • No 24/7 support on Sundays

Excellent Experience

We had an excellent experience with Acme Pest Solutions. The team was professional and quick, and well-informed. They did a great job installing our vent covers. I highly recommend their services!

3. Pesticon Pest Control Inc.

pesticon-pest-control-inc-logo

Address: 100 Rexdale Blvd, Suite 301 G

Contact Details: +1 416-839-1097

Operating Hours: Daily – 8 am to 10 pm

Website

Pesticon’s resume is among the best in Toronto. They’re accredited by BBB and QualityPro, have won HomeStars’ Best of Award ten times, and can flex NPMA, CPMA, and SPMAO memberships!

It’s fully licensed technicians, trained in the latest eco- and pet-friendly methods, who carry out the work too.

Just a shame that communication isn’t quite there yet. While responses tend to be quick, folks have moaned about encountering some unfriendly reps before.

And though uncommon, late arrivals have been noted as well.

Almost nobody complains about the attitude of their technicians, though. Abee and Andre, for one, consistently win people over with their polite demeanour.

Beyond that, Pesticon’s Home Protection Plan is fairly unique. Not every option has a subscription-based service for regular check-ups or emergency response.

The company’s pricing isn’t too crazy for Toronto either. Now that’s a surprise; firms past 25 years typically charge high.

Pros

  • Open for over 25 years
  • Awarded and holds multiple accreditations
  • Offers a subscription-based model for regular services
  • Technicians are regularly trained
  • Reasonable pricing

Cons

  • Some rude phone reps
  • Some late technicians

Understanding and Accommodating

The lady that booked the appointment was so understanding and accommodating. The specialist that cam to the house was Imran. He was on time and walked through the house with me. He was open to questions and made sure we understood everything that he was doing. I would definitely recommend this Pest Control company.

Punctual, Professional

Fast and responsive service. Imran was punctual, professional, very knowledgeable and reassuring. He took his time examining the inside and outside of the house and knew exactly what to look for and where to look. He answered all my questions and provided clear direction and advice. Overall an excellent experience, I would definitely recommend.

Wish only that attic/roof inspection could also be part of the service, but I understand that they are not equipped/trained for this.

4. Aventis Pest Control

aventis-pest-control-logo

Address: 1200 Bay St. Suite # 1201

Contact Details: +1 416-888-0828

Operating Hours: Daily – 24 hours

Website

Certified entomologists run Aventis Pest Control, and it’s obvious from their science-driven approach. Only modern, eco-friendly liquid termiticide or commercial-grade electric sprayers are used.

Their C.A.R.E (Check, Act, Reinforce, Educate) system also deserves some props. It ticks every stage of termite control and includes prevention advice, like how to properly control moisture levels.

Better yet, many say it’s effective and doesn’t cause too much disruption. “We see zero signs of termites since they came” is the general feedback.

As for weak points, Aventis’ tenure is a glaring one. The company was established in 2021, which means it lacks the decades our other entries have.

You need to plan around their hectic schedule as well. Slots can disappear fast, even on weekdays (and especially on weekends).

Good thing 24/7 live agents keep comms from slowing down while explaining things clearly and avoiding upsells.

Pros

  • Run by entomologists
  • Holistic termite control system
  • Minimal disruption
  • Has a 24/7 helpline
  • No upselling

Cons

  • Newest entry on this list (2021)
  • High demand

Gave Me Complete Peace of Mind

I recently had a termite treatment done at my home, and this was by far the most professional and knowledgeable company I’ve ever dealt with. From the first phone call to the final inspection, everything was explained clearly, honestly, and with real expertise.

Their team took the time to walk me through what was happening, what to expect, and how to prevent issues in the future. No rushed service, no upselling, just genuine care and top-level workmanship.

The quality of their work gave me complete peace of mind, and you can tell they take pride in what they do. I’d recommend them without hesitation to anyone looking for reliable and trustworthy pest control. Truly a 10/10 experience.

5. Aetna Pest Control Limited

aetna-pest-control-limited-logo

Address: 1828 Danforth Ave

Contact Details: +1 416-469-4111

Operating Hours: Mon to Fri – 9 am to 5 pm

Website

Powered by the Sentricon system, Aetna Pest Control handles termites effectively and for the long haul, all without endangering pets, children, or nature.

If you need proof it’s legit, scope out past clients like we did. Chances are, they’ll rave about being termite-free for a year or even decades.

Customer service might be another element you’ll hear them praise. Aetna’s technicians, chiefly Kyle and Richard, are usually quick, kind, and thorough with explanations or advice.

They also don’t push treatments unless there’s a real problem. For example, some interviewees were told right away that what they feared wasn’t termites, only harmless citronella ants or ladybugs seeking food.

Our only gripe is that they don’t have weekend hours or round-the-clock support. Considering the company’s high demand and 1974 opening, that’s a bummer.

But to be fair, Aetna has a distinct service most don’t offer: supplying clients with affordable products like foaming sprays.

Pros

  • Employs the effective Sentricon system
  • Open since 1974
  • Honest technicians
  • Sells anti-termite products
  • Has a loyal following

Cons

  • No 24/7 helpline
  • No weekend hours

Would Rate 6 Stars

Great team with awesome customer service. We had an absolute disaster of a job and they stayed with us from the beginning to the end after we had to fire another group.

Would save yourself time and money just go with Richard and the team at Aetna for any of you pest management needs.

Especially termites

Update. The follow up on service calls is excellent. Can’t say enough positive things about working with the entire company. Would rate 6 stars

Professional, Thorough, and Reliable

We’d been dealing (and suffering) with mysterious bites in our home and couldn’t figure out the source. Liz at Aetna took the time to brainstorm with us and ultimately identified the issue as rodent mites—something we never would have uncovered on our own. Aetna also handles our annual termite inspections and treatments, and their service has always been professional, thorough, and reliable. Highly recommend Aetna for any pest control needs. They truly go above and beyond.
