We’re pretty sure Orkin Canada didn’t make it this far since 1901 by chance. Termites often disappear for good with their integrated, entomologist-approved program in place.
Long-term prevention is the main benefit of such an approach. Rather than providing clients with short-term extermination, their specialists inspect, treat, and monitor a property, offering preventive strategies in the end.
Using the eco-friendly Sentricon system ramps up the results. Termites carry back and distribute the bait to the entire colony, which slowly eliminates the entire population, the queen included.
If there’s a downside to that, it’s the price. Sentricon is highly effective (they even have a money-back guarantee), so don’t expect dirt-cheap rates.
Another snag is the possibility of ending with a less seasoned technician. That issue has come up before.
The good news is, Orkin’s staff are generally regarded as punctual and polite, no matter their experience level.

Termite detection is Acme Pest Solutions’ specialty. They employ moisture detectors and thermal imaging to “uncover” termite activity inside beams or walls, as well as to determine entry points or which species they’re dealing with.
For removal, it’s all non-toxic solutions, mainly liquid barriers, wood treatments, and baiting techniques. Past clients claim even hidden colonies didn’t stand a chance.
Acme monitoring things and conducting follow-ups certainly helps. Some companies only provide removal services.
It’s their extra solutions that really pop, though. They can fix damaged areas and tidy up, saving you from booking another crew for repairs or cleaning (but if you’re after a deeper clean, these cleaning services can make it happen!).
You can also phone them for same-day services. Extra charges may apply, but they provide free, reasonable quotes along with a money-back guarantee.
The downside is that most competitors have more staff ready to go.
What’s more, Acme’s round-the-clock helpline is on hold on Sundays.

Pesticon’s resume is among the best in Toronto. They’re accredited by BBB and QualityPro, have won HomeStars’ Best of Award ten times, and can flex NPMA, CPMA, and SPMAO memberships!
It’s fully licensed technicians, trained in the latest eco- and pet-friendly methods, who carry out the work too.
Just a shame that communication isn’t quite there yet. While responses tend to be quick, folks have moaned about encountering some unfriendly reps before.
And though uncommon, late arrivals have been noted as well.
Almost nobody complains about the attitude of their technicians, though. Abee and Andre, for one, consistently win people over with their polite demeanour.
Beyond that, Pesticon’s Home Protection Plan is fairly unique. Not every option has a subscription-based service for regular check-ups or emergency response.
The company’s pricing isn’t too crazy for Toronto either. Now that’s a surprise; firms past 25 years typically charge high.

Certified entomologists run Aventis Pest Control, and it’s obvious from their science-driven approach. Only modern, eco-friendly liquid termiticide or commercial-grade electric sprayers are used.
Their C.A.R.E (Check, Act, Reinforce, Educate) system also deserves some props. It ticks every stage of termite control and includes prevention advice, like how to properly control moisture levels.
Better yet, many say it’s effective and doesn’t cause too much disruption. “We see zero signs of termites since they came” is the general feedback.
As for weak points, Aventis’ tenure is a glaring one. The company was established in 2021, which means it lacks the decades our other entries have.
You need to plan around their hectic schedule as well. Slots can disappear fast, even on weekdays (and especially on weekends).
Good thing 24/7 live agents keep comms from slowing down while explaining things clearly and avoiding upsells.

If you need proof it’s legit, scope out past clients like we did. Chances are, they’ll rave about being termite-free for a year or even decades.
Customer service might be another element you’ll hear them praise. Aetna’s technicians, chiefly Kyle and Richard, are usually quick, kind, and thorough with explanations or advice.
They also don’t push treatments unless there’s a real problem. For example, some interviewees were told right away that what they feared wasn’t termites, only harmless citronella ants or ladybugs seeking food.
Our only gripe is that they don’t have weekend hours or round-the-clock support. Considering the company’s high demand and 1974 opening, that’s a bummer.
But to be fair, Aetna has a distinct service most don’t offer: supplying clients with affordable products like foaming sprays.
