Courier costs in Toronto can vary quite a bit depending on the size of the package, the distance, and how fast you need it delivered. On average, you can expect to pay about $15 for basic same-day delivery, $19 for express delivery, and around $25 for urgent deliveries that need to arrive within the hour.

GOFR Courier has been in Toronto since 2019, and I like how they’ve stripped away the usual courier headaches. Instead of filling out forms or signing contracts, you just book through their app or website, and a driver comes to grab your package.
I also find it impressive that they keep their rules relaxed. You don’t need to weigh or measure anything as long as one person can carry it and it fits in a car. Pricing starts at $24 for trips within 15 km, then adds $1.50 for every extra km.
It’s not cheap, but at least there are no hidden fees if your parcel meets the basics. The only other major drawback I’ve noticed is that they usually don’t deliver on weekends, unless it’s really urgent.

What I noticed is how flexible their services are. They do 90-minute rush runs with no stops, same-day deliveries that can be timed within a few hours, and even van or truck service for bigger loads.
If you don’t need it right away, their next-day option is cheaper and still reliable. They also handle out-of-town deliveries, which is handy if you need something sent beyond the GTA without waiting on a national carrier.
One quirky detail is that they were one of the first couriers in Toronto to accept Bitcoin, alongside credit cards and e-transfers.
The main drawbacks are that they’re only available on weekends and they charge an additional 5% for out-of-town deliveries.

Send It Courier is a worker-owned co-op that’s been part of Toronto since 2012 and has riders all over downtown.
I find them to be an eco-friendly choice for deliveries because they’re fully bike-powered, using both regular bikes and heavy-duty cargo bikes that can carry up to 400 pounds.
Their main focus is same-day and next-day delivery, but they also take on catering jobs for restaurants and cafes, which is a nice alternative if you want food delivered without relying on the big apps.
On top of that, they offer “panic delivery” with a 45-minute window for urgent jobs and an after-hours direct service if you need something moved outside their usual weekday schedule.
The catch is they mostly stick to the downtown core, so coverage is limited, and since they only use bikes, they’re not suited for extremely large items.

What drew us in is how straightforward they are. You can book everything online, and their turnkey integrations have made running her online store smoother without much extra effort.
We also like that their pricing is easy to follow. Deliveries within Toronto cost $15, while trips outside the city are $25. They also keep things fair by charging the same rate whether it’s one parcel, several packages, or something oversized.
Another good reason why we went with them is their volume discounts. When orders pile up, the cost can drop to $8 per stop, which really helps during busy weeks.
Sadly, their couriers sometimes don’t wait and will simply leave the package at the doorstep before moving on, which can be risky for perishables like frozen goods.
