My dog, Otis, is full of energy and always up for a good time. He runs around, dives into puddles, rolls in the grass, and does pretty much anything that gets him dirty. It’s fun watching him play, but he ends up messy real fast.
To keep him clean and feeling good, I bring him to a groomer regularly. It’s more than just keeping him looking nice. It helps him stay comfortable, too!
If your dog is anything like Otis, I put together a list of some of the best dog groomers in Toronto to help you keep your pup fresh and happy.
How much do dog grooming services cost in Toronto?
A full dog grooming service in Toronto usually averages around $140. If you’ve got a smaller pup with a short coat, it’ll likely cost less. On the other hand, bigger dogs or breeds that need more detailed grooming tend to land on the pricier side.
How We Chose
1. Pawfect Spa Ltd

Services offered: Breed-specific full grooming, deluxe bath packages, puppy grooming, de-shedding treatments, and medicated baths
Address: 551 St Clair Ave W, Toronto, ON M6C 1A3
Phone number: +1 416-962-7721
Business hours: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (TUES-SAT)
Pawfect Spa is a solid pick if you’ve got a breed like a bichon, schnauzer, yorkie, or Shih Tzu. They’ve been around since 2003 and know their way around breed-specific grooming, especially those styles that need precision and hand-scissoring.
One standout service is their FURminator SHED LESS treatment, which uses a high-velocity dryer and a patented tool to pull out loose undercoat hair. If you’re constantly sweeping up fur around the house, it can be a lifesaver.
Their medicated bath is another handy option, using special shampoos and natural deodorizers to tackle things like fleas, stink, and skin flare-ups.
However, my biggest concern is their steep prices. It’s also a bit frustrating that they’re strictly by appointment, so you’ll definitely need to book ahead.
They always do the best job
“I cannot say enough about Elsie and her team at Pawfect Spa. They are incredible! We have been taking our dog to them for the past 3 years and they always do the best job. We would not go anywhere else. Our dog does NOT like grooming but they always manage to take care of him and make him look amazing and clean!”

Best groomers for my standard poodle
“Amazing experience, best groomers for my standard poodle. A bit expensive, however totally worth it. We are going to be coming back! Thank you Pawfect Spa!”

2. Dog World Resort & Spa

Services offered: Bath, nail trim, ear cleaning, nail Dremeling, blueberry facial, haircut, and more
Address: 23 Camden St
Phone number: +1 416-592-0135
Business hours:
7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (MON-FRI)
9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (SAT)
I found Dog World Resort & Spa tucked in Toronto’s Fashion District, and it’s been Otis’ go-to grooming spot since. What really stood out to me was their free consultation. They took the time to explain what kind of care Otis needed and how much it would cost based on his coat and temperament.
I usually book the full grooming package: bath, blow dry, haircut, ear cleaning, the whole deal. Whenever I score a bonus from work, I treat him to their blueberry facial. Sounds fancy, but it actually helps with tear stains and makes his fur noticeably brighter!
Their nail Dremeling service is another win. It uses a rotary tool instead of clippers, which keeps Otis calm and his nails smooth.
Sadly, booking can be tough for new clients, and showing up more than 15 minutes late comes with a $25 fee—which feels a bit steep.
The final haircut looks absolutely perfect
“I just took my dog for a full grooming and couldn’t be happier with the results! The groomer was incredibly gentle with my pup, showing true understanding and creating a welcoming environment throughout the entire experience. The final haircut looks absolutely perfect. I highly recommend their services to all dog owners.”

Hands down the best groomers we’ve been to
“Hands down the best groomers we’ve been to. We have an anxious Siberian Husky (7yr old) and a smaller mix-breed dog (4yr old) and they always come back in the best shape. They’ve been the only ones who were able to give our Husky a proper nail trim and paw pad shave. We’re continually impressed and so grateful we found them. Kind, professional, and helpful. Thanks for the great service each time!”

3. Paws In The Bath

Services offered: Full grooming, nail trimming with grinding, nail painting, tooth brushing, plaque cleansing, DIY dog wash, and more
Address: 2491 Queen St E
Phone number: +1 647-352-9339
Business hours: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (MON-SUN)
Paws In the Bath has been around for over 16 years and is a solid spot for grooming your pup. Their groomers follow a detailed process that covers your dog’s coat, ears, nails, and even teeth.
They also offer a DIY dog wash if you prefer doing the first step of dog grooming yourself. You’ll get your own wash station and everything you need to wash your dog. Their groomers will lend assistance if needed.
There are a few perks too: seniors and owners of service or therapy dogs get 10% off, and if you’ve just adopted your pup, the first self-wash is free with adoption papers.
However, one thing to watch out for is booking. They fill up fast, especially on weekends. And while their service is usually solid, I’ve heard of a few cases where the final price didn’t match the quote, which can be frustrating.
His hair cuts are always perfect
“Audrey and Daniela are both great with our dog! We’ve been taking him here since he was a few months old and we always have a great experience. You can tell they both really genuinely love the dogs and are always so nice. His hair cuts are always perfect too. Wouldn’t go anywhere else!”

They did such a good job
“I took my Rupert in after a long time and his hair was badly matted all over. I went into the store and was greeted so kindly. I explained a few things about Rupert and left with confidence that they would take great care of him. I came back after and picked him up looking amazed because they did such a good job. They had to shave him fully because of the matts in his hair but were sensible enough to be able to leave his ears fluffy with some style which I loved. I know Rupert is not easy to work with from the neck up but they got him done in good time. Awesome job, I think I found my new grooming place for my baby. Thank you kindly for a great experience and Rupert thanks you as well, he is very happy and back at home living it up with his new style!”

4. Pawmart

Services offered: Bathing, brushing, hair trimming, nail clipping, bubble bath treatment, face trims, and paw cleaning
Address: 1402 Yonge St
Phone number: +1 844-448-0844
Business hours: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM (MON-SAT)
Pawmart is a cozy grooming boutique I came across while wandering near Yonge & St Clair. Turns out, they’ve been around since 2015 and offer a surprisingly thorough lineup of services.
They cover all the essentials, like bathing, brushing, nail clipping, and hair trimming. One standout is their bubble bath treatment, which is a playful soak in pet-safe bubbles that helps keep your pup calm and relaxed from start to finish.
You can book services à la carte too, which is good if your dog just needs a quick fix. They also run an affiliate program that gives a 10% commission for successful referrals.
However, I find their pricing to be a bit higher than the average. You can get around that a bit by picking up one of their multi-session grooming packages, which come with decent discounts.
My pup always comes home looking perfect, happy, and comfortable
“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Amir at Pawmart is truly the best groomer my toy poodle has ever had. The quality of his work is consistently excellent—my pup always comes home looking perfect, happy, and comfortable. Unlike past experiences at other groomers where my dog would be itchy or irritated from clippers being too close or too hot, that’s never been an issue with Amir. He’s skilled in a range of styles and always nails the look I’m going for. On top of that, he’s warm, professional, and clearly loves what he does. My dog actually gets excited to see him, which says it all. Highly recommend! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

We recently brought our dog to Pampered Paws for grooming, and the experience was fantastic. From the very beginning, the staff welcomed us warmly and treated our pup with kindness and patience. Their clear communication about the services and what to expect helped us feel comfortable leaving our pet in their care.
The second thing we appreciated was the quality of the grooming itself. Our dog came out looking clean, well-trimmed, and happy. The groomer paid attention to details like coat texture, nail length, and overall comfort, which showed a high level of skill and care. It was obvious they took pride in their work and genuinely cared about our pet’s well-being.
Finally, we valued the overall atmosphere of the shop. It was clean, organized, and calm, which made the experience less stressful for both us and our dog. The team created an environment where pets could feel safe, and that made all the difference.
Overall, our experience at Pampered Paws was excellent. With friendly service, top-quality grooming, and a welcoming environment, they made the entire process smooth and enjoyable. We would happily recommend Pampered Paws to any pet owner looking for reliable and caring grooming services.
6. Nimoosh Grooming & Boutique

Address: 582 Danforth Ave
Phone number: +1 416-646-6674

9:30 AM – 6:00 PM (TUES)
8:00 AM – 6:00 PM (WED)
8:00 AM – 8:00 PM (THURS-SAT)
Another dog groomer I recommend for fur parents with unique dog breeds is Nimoosh Grooming & Boutique. It’s Indigenous-owned and uses fear-free methods, which means no crates, no rough handling, and special training to deal with anxious dogs.
They’re especially experienced with Samoyeds and Chow Chows. For dogs with wiry coats, they offer hand stripping, a technique that removes dead hair manually to preserve your dog’s coat texture.
They also offer spa-style treatments like Nagayu CO₂ therapy to soothe skin conditions and DogMäsk, a deep conditioning mask that repairs dry or damaged fur. I can see these treatments as a huge plus if you want your pup to always look healthy and photo-ready.
However, keep in mind that reactive dogs may be subject to extra charges, since they require more care and staff attention during grooming.
This business loves dogs and cares to do a good job!
“I was very impressed with how this grooming business operated with an exceptional response time! They were attentive to my two filthy Golden Retrievers who clearly enjoyed their time there being bathed and groomed. They even brushed their teeth! I had a car issue and was tardy to pick them up and they were fully understanding and cared for my dogs until pick up. This business loves dogs and cares to do a good job! Thank you”
