Get rid of kinks and aches in your body with the help of the best osteopaths in Toronto

We extensively test and research all services we review. Here's why you can trust us.

I used to hate those moments back when I felt so stiff and awkward. It may not be a cause for major concern, but that weird feeling just didn’t sit well with me.

That’s why, after getting an all-clear from my physician, I’ve decided to try out an osteopath. Unlike chiropractors, who focus mainly on spinal adjustments, osteopaths perform physical manipulation on all of the body’s muscle tissue and bones.

Lucky for me, that was the right decision, as I now feel more relaxed and mobile. Hopefully, you too can enjoy the same success as I had with the help of these amazing osteopaths in Toronto!

How much does it cost to see an osteopath in Toronto?

In Toronto, the average price for an osteopath’s initial assessment and treatment is $140. However, your price can vary depending on the type of treatment, the practitioner’s experience, and the clinic you choose.

How We Chose

Qualifications and experience – We picked certified osteopaths who have at least three years of professional experience.
Specialisation – We also prefer those who have specialisations in areas like sports injuries, paediatrics, or chronic pain.
Accessibility – We looked at whether these osteopaths are near major roads and public transit stations. We also checked whether they’re available on most days of the week.
Professionalism – We assessed whether they’re always on time for their appointments and treat patients respectfully. We also evaluated whether they respond quickly to calls and emails.
Price fairness – We considered whether their prices are fair based on their track record, facilities, and specialisations covered.

I’m no longer waking up in the morning feeling discomfort

“I highly recommend Lidiya after seeing her three times for osteopathy treatments to address issues with my shoulder, neck and spine. My shoulders were out of alignment with a bit of stiffness, and head forward posture. After a couple of treatments, I noticed that my head is in better alignment with my spine, and my shoulders are no longer a bit lopsided. I noticed an improvement in my circulation. I have been sleeping better as a result and

I’m no longer waking up in the morning feeling discomfort. I also feel more ease of movement in walking. Because my head and neck are now in alignment, the little hump at the back of my neck has almost disappeared, and I believe that this will help prevent any future disc issues. Thank you, Lidiya, for taking such care to help me.”

I am so glad I ended up in fantastic hands

“I started seeing Lydia after a difficult pregnancy and labor that left me with several pains and aches. In only a few sessions Lydia literally put me back together and fixed past issues I had been dealing with for years. This was my first time approaching osteopathy and I am so glad I ended up in fantastic hands. Lydia is very professional but also a very kind and sweet person. During one of our sessions I found out she could also help my infant 3 month old baby with several issues, the main one being spit up, vomiting after feeding. I had no idea pediatric osteopathy was a thing until now and I’m happy I brought my son to see Lydia because the spit up is now almost completely gone after only one session.

I highly recommend visiting Soma Osteopathy, you will not regret it!”

The Spinal Joint Classical Osteopathy is a standout osteopathy clinic started in 2014 by Philip Drube. A graduate of the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy, Philip is well-versed when it comes to performing classical osteopathic therapy.

This means he follows the original principles set out by Andrew Taylor Still, the founder of osteopathy. In particular, his experience in Osteopathic Manipulative Therapy (OMT) was a huge help back when my back pains were at their worst.

Aside from his clear mastery of osteopathy, I also love that Philip has a friend referral program that lets you earn a free treatment for every five successful referrals.

However, it’s a bit of a shame that he charges $150 for his initial treatments. While I can attest from my experience that he’s an excellent osteopath, I still find that price to be quite high.

Pros

  • 10 years of experience
  • Specialises in classical osteopathic therapy
  • Has a friend referral program

Cons

  • Slightly above-average prices
  • Inconsistent operating hours

Philip is the best manual osteopath in Toronto

“In my opinion, Philip is the best manual osteopath in Toronto. Adjustments are always gentle and the conversation (when I’m feeling talkative) stimulating. And, of course, my body feels great after each session!”

Philip is incredibly passionate, dedicated and educated in his field

“Philip is incredibly passionate, dedicated and educated in his field. I have visited him for a number of years and most recently for an ongoing health concern. His knowledge and experience had me on the path to recovery the first visit. My neck, shoulder pain and head already felt much better after one visit. He’s really a great guy as well. I feel lucky to have him as my osteopath, he really cares and is genuine.”

Napier Osteopathy, led by Gregory Napier, is a renowned clinic known for its rich variety of osteopathic treatments. Located in Liberty Village, they offer services like structural, cranial, visceral, paediatric, and, surprisingly, animal osteopathy.

Since that one piqued my interest, I did some digging. It turns out that the principles governing osteopathy can be easily applied to our furry friends as well. Whenever your pet experiences muscular strains or digestive issues, Gregory can help!

Another great thing about this clinic is its extremely competitive prices. An initial treatment here will only cost you $105.

However, I dislike that Gregory is only available on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. He also tends to get fully booked quickly, making his services a bit harder to enjoy.

Pros

  • Central location
  • Wide range of osteopathic treatments
  • Can do animal osteopathy
  • Competitive prices

Cons

  • Tends to get fully booked quickly
  • Unavailable between Saturdays and Tuesdays

Greg worked his magic on me and helped fix my pains

“I’ve tried all the other manual treatment styles for my hip/back pain. I got the best results with osteopathy. Greg worked his magic on me and helped fix my pains. He’s professional, friendly, and effective!”

Greg took my experience to the next level with his extra care

“I have been to different osteopaths over the years and have always had a great experience, but Greg took my experience to the next level with his extra care, attentive listening, gentle yet intentional approach and of course, his charming personality. I feel great and very well cared for, I will be back!”

Kai Riecken Osteopathy is an amazing choice for those who are on a tight budget. An osteopath since 2020, Kai is more than willing to provide sliding scale pricing to those who are unemployed, on a fixed income, or having financial difficulties.

He also provides pro bono work from time to time, which is something I totally appreciate.

Prior to becoming an osteopath, Kai was once an anatomy teacher and manual therapist. That’s why it’s no surprise that he’s mostly skilled in restoring joint mobility and balance.

Sadly, his immense popularity means that he tends to get fully booked quickly. It also doesn’t help that he’s unavailable on Wednesdays and weekends.

Pros

  • Specialises in restoring joint mobility
  • Offers sliding scale pricing
  • Occasionally does pro bono work
  • Can direct bill many insurance companies

Cons

  • Tends to get fully booked quickly
  • Unavailable on Wednesdays and weekends

I have noticed a huge improvement in my body

“I have been working with Kai for over almost a year and I have noticed a huge improvement in my body. Kai is extremely knowledgeable, professional, and truly cares about his patients’ well-being. He has helped me recover from a longstanding injury and helped me maintain my body’s health with great advice tailored to my lifestyle and needs. The office is super accessible, spotless, and a very peaceful environment to step into. I highly recommend him and his services! On top of all of that, he is just a lovely person! Thanks for everything!”

Has really helped me with my health concerns

“Kai is an incredible practitioner and has really helped me with my health concerns. I came to Kai with some fairly complex issues after many surgeries and the results we have achieved have been amazing. He is incredibly knowledgeable of the body and health in general. The treatments are very relaxing and I always leave feeling significantly better than when I walked in. Whatever your health issue may be I am confident that Osteopathy and Kai as a practitioner will help! Thank you!”

Dani Reid Osteopathy is another top-notch choice when it comes to osteopathic treatments. With over a decade of experience, Dani has provided her services to many different clients, including athletes from the UFC, NHL, and NFL.

Her main selling point is her specialty treatments that go beyond the usual manual osteopathy treatment. The first is structural integration, which focuses on aligning the body to improve posture and movement.

She can also do specialised athletic performance treatments that are aimed at enhancing performance and preventing sports injuries.

In my own experience, her treatments were of huge help in relieving my muscle soreness. Her being able to directly bill most major insurance companies was also something I liked about her.

The only major issue I have with this clinic is its lack of a phone number, as there are still those who are more comfortable booking their appointments over the phone.

Pros

  • Over 10 years of experience
  • Offers specialty treatments
  • Can direct bill many insurance companies
  • Central location

Cons

  • No phone number
  • Unavailable on Fridays and Sundays

Has done so much to help my upper back and shoulders
