Electric Island is back, and if May’s kickoff weekend was anything to go by, we’re in for an unforgettable summer. If you haven’t heard of it yet, it’s the city’s biggest celebration of house and techno.
Luckily, it’s not just a one-time event. There are still three weekends left where you can jump in on the fun. The party starts at 7:00 PM and runs until 11:00 PM, letting us celebrate while the city lights up around us.
To give you a small glimpse of what to expect for the upcoming June event, let me share my experience during the May party. I’ll be honest; it was overwhelming at first, especially with how fired up the crowd was.

The energy was unreal, and the bass thumping through the ground made it impossible not to get swept up in the moment. The massive outdoor stage, pulsing lights, and nonstop beats created an atmosphere like no other.
I personally think that the venue itself also played a huge role in making Electric Island so special. Fort York offers plenty of space to move while keeping you close to the city, striking the perfect balance.
The towering skyscrapers in the background also add to the magic, making it easy to lose oneself in the beat while soaking in the stunning skyline.
As for the lineup, it was absolutely stacked, with artists like Jonathan Rosa, Cozmic Cat, Camelphat, and Sammy Virji delivering some unforgettable sets. Every performance felt like its own journey, pulling us deeper into the music.
Shout-out to my friend, by the way, for scoring us spots in the VIP section! Being so close to the performers was a game-changer, offering a totally immersive experience that went beyond what I expected.

This June, with new names taking the stage, I’m already looking at grabbing tickets for my friends and me.
According to the official website, we can expect performances from Silvie Loto, Ahmed Spins, Black Coffee, and Bonobo, among others. Definitely worth checking out!
I won’t spoil the rest, so you should really just go for it and grab a ticket while you still can. They’re selling fast, and if June is anything like May, it’s going to be an incredible night. Let’s hope we have a few more unforgettable evenings ahead!
