Lovely work

Yael Malik of Beauty by Yael holds a Philbrows Master title, which is the second-highest one Philbrows Academy bestows. Throw in her 6 other international certifications and 18-year tenure, and you’d get why she’s here.
Her mastery of multiple PMU types, like powder brows, eyeliner enhancement, and lip blushing, is still what secured her spot. Most treatments lead to “super natural” enhancements that complement a client’s face.
Based on visits, we’d describe the staff as reassuring. They clearly explain what’s going to happen before, during, and after the PMU procedure, and that’s on top of having a light touch.
Pricing is also consistent with Toronto’s range. You’ll get a breakdown by sending them an email, which is also used to answer queries and assess skin types or histories before in-person appointments.
Too bad instant bookings aren’t a given because of the demand, something compounded even more by the 5-day schedule.
Can’t recommend Beauty by Yael enough
Yael is a brilliant artist! I went to her for combo brows in 2023 and have been so happy with the result. They have lasted nearly two years and faded nicely – I only just got them touched up. I was nervous about permanent makeup but they are super natural. She takes time to choose the right technique, shape and colour for your face. Can’t recommend Beauty by Yael enough!

Top Cosmetic Artistry by Emily, founded in 2017, is a top choice for designer lip blush treatments. Had one here myself, and both the shape and colour matched my features and skin tone.
Emily’s knowledge of the procedure is simply on point. I was put at ease because she explained the treatment step by step, answering every question I had and helping me pick the perfect colour.
She also provided detailed pre- and post-care instructions, something other people, including her students, also pointed out.
One more perk that’s regularly brought up is the studio’s calming atmosphere. It’s bright, super clean, and set to soothing music.
Unfortunately, you must shell out $50 for a 15-minute virtual consultation. Some of the previous artists offer it for free.
The availability window is also very limited. Bookings are often filled far in advance, with only 1–2 time slots per day.

Being located on Whitmore Ave gives the studio a private feel, and it’s just as calm inside, thanks to the chic and clean setup. Clients are even offered blankets and drinks for maximum comfort.
Know what else brings comfort? The pricing, which sits on the lower end of Toronto’s standard range for PMU treatments. Choosing discounted packages can help reduce costs further.
A teeny hiccup to consider is the 25-minute commute from Downtown Toronto to Bloom. Sure, it’s not really a haul, but most picks are less than 20 minutes from the CBD.
Time slots can be scarce as well for in-person and phone consultations. Even far-off dates were taken the last time we looked.
