If you’re just getting a haircut, the ballpark is around C$50 and C$60. If you want to get more labour-intensive and time-consuming services like rebond, perm, and balayage, you can expect to pay somewhere between C$170 and C$200.

Perfect X Hair is the one salon that I keep coming back to. I’ve actually successfully convinced my mother and my friends to check this place out, and they love it, too!
The salon’s interior is clean and stylish, equipped with plush furniture, so right from the start, you’ll get a luxurious vibe here. You’ll even get complimentary snacks and drinks. I feel pampered like I’m staying in a fancy hotel.
The array of services available is pretty extensive as well. There are stylists specializing in women’s, men’s, and children’s haircuts, and if you just want a certain type of bangs, they have a specialist for that, too.
Other services you can find here include hair colouring, Korean perms, balayage, and highlights.
Services don’t just stop with the styling options. They also have treatment plans for people with dry, brittle hair. I personally haven’t tried this treatment plan, but I know others will appreciate it.
If you don’t know what service to get or if you want a specific hairstyle, you can book a personalized consultation with one of the hairstylists.
Even if you think your preferred hairstyle is hard to describe, describe it anyway, and your stylist will bring it to reality. I’ve lost count of how many times I thought I described my ideal hairstyle badly, only for my stylists to recreate it perfectly. The skill is unmatched!
This salon also has two locations, one on Yonge and Empress and another on Yonge and Sheppard. They’re not too far apart from each other, so if one location is too crowded for you, you can just go to the other outlet. It only takes around 20 minutes to walk or five minutes to drive.
The fact that Perfect X Hair is a luxury hair salon is both an advantage and a disadvantage. It’s an advantage because you’ll get premium service and results, and it’s a disadvantage because the prices are expensive. Coming here is definitely a “treat myself” moment.

Compared to the other Korean salons in Toronto, H2Goa Hair Studio is relatively new; as of writing, it hasn’t been a decade since it was established. But still, in that time, it has won the trust of the locals, and now, it’s cemented its reputation as one of the most reliable Korean salons in the city.
The main thing that stuck out to me when I first visited was that the haircut prices are pretty affordable, which is good news for people on a budget.
Just a heads up, though; I’ve heard from several loyal clients that the price tends to go up if you choose the salon’s director as your stylist. I haven’t tried this, but it’s worth noting.
This salon offers an impressive variety of services, not just haircuts. In particular, I’m impressed with their lineup of perm treatments. They even have treatments catered toward men!
And if you have any hair problems (e.g., dry hair and hair loss), you can book any of their treatments.
This salon even has manicure services! I’m not much of a manicure girlie because it’s too much of a hassle for me, so knowing that I can get both my hair and my nails done at the same time is a blessing.
As much as I enjoy this salon overall, there are some things I find low-key annoying. First is the fact that I have to wait a long time before I can book an appointment. I guess this is a testament to great quality because they’re always swamped with customers.
Another thing I don’t like is that they charge people who cancel bookings a day or two before the scheduled appointment. I understand that having cancelled bookings is inconvenient for the salon staff, but a cancellation fee that is 50% of your booked service is a bit much, in my opinion.

Bella Jin Hair Salon has been operating since 1991, so the fact that it’s still standing is proof of the quality of their services. Oh, and this salon is owned by a Korean hair expert, so you can rest assured that you’re in good hands.
One thing I like about this salon is that they offer a great range of services, and they’re affordably priced too.
You have the basics like haircut, hair colouring, straightening, and perming, and then there are other types of services like keratin treatments, hair extensions, and eyelash extensions. You can even get your very own personalized wig here as well!
And the services don’t just stop there. They also have makeup services. I’ve come here multiple times to get my hair and makeup for a special event, and I’ve yet to be disappointed!
The only thing I dislike about this salon is that sometimes, I have trouble booking. Usually, I have to wait a long time, and even when I have a date booked, sometimes, it gets cancelled all of a sudden.
My friend also complained about the salon not having its own parking space, and I agree. There are parking lots nearby, but it’s kind of inconvenient because it’s yet another expense. Plus, it’s extra effort because we have to walk to the salon.

Another hair salon that’s been around for a long time (more than a decade or so) and is highly recommended by locals is Sora Beauty Salon.
What I like about this hair salon is its versatility. The stylists here are well-versed in Western, Japanese, and Korean hair trends, so they can give you whatever hairstyle you want or answer any hair-related question you have.
Most hair stylists here are Korean, but they speak English well, so there’s no need to worry about any sort of misunderstanding.
Haircuts and hair colouring are the most popular services. I like their colouring options because you can get either highlights or ombre hair. I got a purple and pink ombre colour, and I was obsessed!
They also offer perming solutions—both regular and digital perm. Moreover, if you have a hair or scalp issue, you can book their special services, like moisture treatment for your hair and scalp treatment.
Sometimes, manicures are available as well. This is your sign to get your nails done while your stylist is treating your hair.
When it comes to booking, I’ve found that doing it via Instagram is much more effective than booking through the website. The website is a bit inconvenient, but at least, there’s an alternative.

Someone described Taya Hair Salon to me as a place where you go to transform into a K-pop idol. After all, the hairstylists here are up-to-date and knowledgeable about all the K-beauty trends!
True enough, when I came here for the first time to get my hair done, I walked out of the salon feeling like a lead in a romantic K-drama, just minutes before meeting my oppa who’s a CEO of a big-time corporation.
To make your dream a reality, you’ll first have a consultation with one of their hairstylists. This is your chance to let them know what you have in mind, and the stylist will chime in with their suggestions.
Sometimes, it may seem like their suggestions don’t sound great, but in my experience, they’re right on the money. There’s a reason they’re the professional stylist and not me, after all!
When it comes to the array of services, it’s pretty curated, but it’s not a problem for me. They do have the typical offerings, namely haircut, colouring, and perm. If you want hair treatment, your options are Olaplex treatment and hair botox.
As for the prices, they’re all over the place. I find the haircut rates to be relatively cheap, but the perm, colouring, and treatment services can be pretty pricey.
