We extensively test and research all services we review. Here's why you can trust us.

I never imagined making such a big step at this point in my life, but I’m finally moving into a new apartment! To make it truly feel like home, I picked out some new furniture that added both character and comfort.

Luckily, finding furniture in the city wasn’t hard. These one-stop shops had everything I needed, from a cozy couch to a chic dining table.

With so many options in Toronto, I’ve put together a list of the best furniture stores you won’t want to miss!

How We Chose

Range of selection – We picked furniture stores that offer a wide variety of furniture styles, materials, and designs to their customers.
Product quality – We checked whether these stores offer high-quality furniture that’s made with premium materials and workmanship. We also prefer those that offer warranties for their products.
Accessibility – We evaluated whether these stores are near major roads and public transit stations. We also assessed whether they’re open on most days of the week.
Professionalism – We considered whether their staff always treat their clients kindly and are quick to lend assistance when needed. We also looked at whether they respond to enquiries quickly.
Price fairness – We assessed whether their prices are fair considering the quality of their products, their warranty coverage, accessibility, and additional services provided.

Let’s talk about the store where I bought most of my new furniture: Urban Barn. With 15 locations across the GTA, they’re one of the city’s most prominent furniture stores.

They offer a wide range of furniture, including dining tables, bookshelves, and nightstands. I was particularly drawn to their pet-friendly upholstery options since my dog loves to sit next to me while I play games on my console.

Another good reason I chose them is their Virtual Design Studio. This service allowed me to visualize how different pieces of furniture would look in my home before making a purchase.

They also have an augmented reality tool that helped me see exactly how a piece would fit into my space.

My only issue with them is their lengthy delivery times. It took them more than a week to deliver my dining table to my address.

Pros

  • 15 locations in the GTA
  • Has pet-friendly upholstery options
  • Has pet-friendly upholstery options
  • Uses AR technology for furniture visualization
  • 5-year warranty

Cons

  • Slow delivery service
  • Slightly above-average prices

100% would visit again for our furniture needs!

“I found a mirror that was perfect for my needs, among other things we ordered. The staff who were present when we visited were helpful and friendly. 100% would visit again for our furniture needs!”

We had a fabulous shopping experience

“We had a fabulous shopping experience, with a lot of help from both associates. Despite entering the shop 10 minutes before closing, we were not quickly rushed out, instead very kindly helped and given a lot of inspiration and help with price adjustments! We can’t wait to return!”

EQ3 is a well-known furniture store that currently operates two locations in Toronto. They started in 2001 and now sell a wide range of items like beds, sofas, and wall lamps.

One aspect of this store I really appreciate is their warranties. They offer extensive warranties on many of their products, with some items even coming with a 25-year warranty.

Moreover, their design services are extremely helpful for those unsure about what to buy. You can book a free consultation with one of their local design experts, whether it’s in-home, in-store, or virtual.

On the downside, EQ3’s prices can be higher than average. It’s worth considering their financing options to make purchases more manageable.

I also find it disappointing that they have a very strict return policy and may deny a refund claim should an item have any signs of damage.

Pros

  • 2 locations in the Toronto
  • 25-year warranty on some items
  • Offers complimentary consultations
  • Offers financing options

Cons

  • Above-average prices
  • Very strict return policy

Great experience and very helpful staff!

“Walked into this location on a whim as I have been looking for a well-priced white marble top table for about a month. Within 5 minutes of browsing a sales associate came over and they immediately brought me to an awesome white marble table! They helped by bringing over chairs to try with it. Great experience and very helpful staff! I’m excited to get my new table.”

“Great selection and amazing service. Mariangela was super knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. She helped me find the exact sofa I wanted and even managed to expedite the shipping. I will definitely shop here again!”

If you’re on the hunt for modern, stylish furniture, Rove Concepts is a brand worth considering. Founded in 2011, this store is all about selling furniture that has sleek, minimalist designs.

Beyond the minimalist designs, another good thing about them is their Mulberry Accidental Damage Protection Plan. Let’s face it, accidents happen, and it’s nice to know that you’re covered if your new furniture takes accidental damage like drops, spills, and cracks.

Their Rove Members Program is also worth mentioning. For a $200 annual fee, you get 25% off on their online store, 10% back in vouchers, and even VIP access to sale events.

However, I noticed that they have slow customer service; they sometimes take days to respond to enquiries. Their delivery service could also use some improvement, as it typically takes about 3–4 weeks to receive your items.

Pros

  • Offers accident protection plans
  • Offers financing options
  • Has a membership program
  • Has complimentary swatches

Cons

  • May take days to respond to enquiries
  • Slow delivery service

I am so happy with my order from Rove Concepts

Absolutely stunning timeless design and superb quality

“Absolutely stunning timeless design and superb quality. I ordered the Ophelia bed early this year and knew that I would get the Solana chairs next. The just released new colors and sample request was received the next day.

Once my outdoor area is completed, I will be happy to furnish it with Rove Concepts.”

Another notable furniture store you can check out is Sundays, located in Beaconsfield Village. They sell a wide range of furniture that includes beds, tables, chairs, and cabinets.

They cover all their items with a two-year warranty, which is pretty standard these days but still reassuring.

One big plus is their free in-home delivery and assembly service for larger items. No more struggling with instructions or tools. They’ve got it covered!

If budget is a concern, they’ve got you covered with financing options through Affirm, allowing you to spread the cost over manageable payments. Plus, they offer a special Trade Program with exclusive pricing for designers and renovators, making it easier to find the perfect pieces for any project.

We are beyond thrilled with our new couch!

“We are beyond thrilled with our new couch! Jessica from the Ossington location did an amazing job guiding us through the process of picking the best couch for our growing family and lifestyle. We settled on the “Get Together” in Oatmeal and it’s the perfect size, very comfortable and the fabric is so soft. Truly couldn’t be happier with this purchase! Thanks Jessica!”

For those on the hunt for good deals on stylish furniture, InSTYLE Home & Rugs might be worth considering. Founded in 2003 by Alvin Pourvakil, this store has a price match guarantee on all items. Just bring in a written quote from a competitor, and they’ll match it without any hassle, making sure you get the best price.

They also offer flexible financing options through Affirm and Afterpay, which can ease the burden of those larger purchases. They even have a Trade Program that grants special pricing and benefits for interior designers and architects.

Interestingly, they also provide rug cleaning services, even if the rug wasn’t purchased from their store.

However, I find it disappointing that the standard warranty for most items here is only one year. Also, be aware that their showroom doesn’t always stock every item listed on their website.

Pros

  • Has a price match guarantee
  • Offers rug cleaning services
  • Has a Trade Program
  • Offers financing options

Cons

  • 1-year standard warranty only
  • Some items aren’t stocked regularly

InSTYLE has very reasonable prices

“High end fine quality items and service to match are hard to find these days. InSTYLE has very reasonable prices too. What a huge selection of colour choice and fabric options if you want a custom ordered sofa or upholstered bed frame. The 2 items I chose are made in Canada. Go for the white glove service which is well worth it. I absolutely love my new bed, sofa and dining table. Made to last for sure.”
