The Best Audiologists in Toronto Offering Advanced Hearing Aids and Treatments

audiologists-in-toronto
We extensively test and research all services we review. Here's why you can trust us.

Growing up, my nephew faced a challenging time with his hearing. This has sadly made communication and engagement difficult for him, especially in school.

Thankfully, we were fortunate to find a wonderful audiologist who provided exceptional care. With the right treatment and a hearing aid, his hearing improved significantly, and he gained confidence in talking to us and his friends.

To support other families going through similar experiences, I’ve compiled a list of the best audiologists in Toronto. I hope this helps you find the support you need.

How much does it cost to see an audiologist in Toronto?

An initial consultation with an audiologist usually costs $150 in Toronto.

However, please note that your price can vary depending on the clinic and the services provided.

How We Chose

Experience and qualifications – We picked audiologists with more than three years of experience and are certified by the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO).
Specializations – We also chose those that cover various specializations, such as pediatric audiology and tinnitus management.
Accessibility – We considered whether their hearing clinics are near major roads and public transit stations. We also assessed whether they see patients on most days of the week.
Professionalism – We evaluated whether these audiologists are always respectful to their patients and on time for their appointments. We also looked at whether they respond to enquiries quickly.
Price fairness – We checked whether their prices are fair considering their experience, specializations covered, hearing aid technologies offered, and post-treatment care provided.

Starting with the wonderful team who helped my nephew, we have the Owl Hearing Clinic. It was established at the start of 2024 by Anika Cai, a seasoned audiologist with over 15 years of experience.

The thing I find impressive is the wide range of services they offer, despite them being relatively new. My nephew was able to avail of most of these, like their comprehensive hearing test and hearing aid fitting services.

One of the main reasons we chose this clinic was their selection of cutting-edge hearing aids from top brands like Signia and Unitron. Plus, they offer a 60-day trial with a money-back guarantee, which really puts our minds at ease. They also assured us that the hearing aid comes with a 3-year warranty.

The only downside we’ve encountered is that their appointments fill up very quickly. It’s a bit challenging to get a slot!

Pros

  • Lead audiologist has 15 years of experience
  • Sells advanced hearing aids
  • Has a 3-year warranty on hearing aids
  • Offers 60-day hearing aid trials
  • Offers hearing aid financing options

Cons

  • Tends to get fully booked quickly
  • Inconsistent operating hours

You won’t be disappointed!

“I’ve visited several places for hearing checks and hearing aids in the past, but they never fit properly, weren’t fixed, and ultimately went unused. Owl Hearing Clinic is the first place that took the time to explore different aids and solutions for a perfect fit that works for me. Thank you, Anika, for your patience and attention to detail. I can happily hear again, and my family is thrilled—no more repeating themselves! I highly recommend Owl Hearing Clinic for anyone in need of hearing aids or a hearing test. You won’t be disappointed!”

Dr. Anika Cai is an attentive and extremely informative audiologist

“Dr. Anika Cai is an attentive and extremely informative audiologist. She went above and beyond to help both me and my partner who coincidentally was experiencing ear problems at the same time as me. She reassured both of us, answered all of our questions and even conducted a complimentary hearing test for my partner and is sending the results to her family doctor. My wax extraction was painless and thorough. Thank you to the team at Owl Eglinton!!”

Some of these services include hearing aid fitting, hearing tests, and custom earplugs. They even offer advanced 3D digital ear scanning services, which can accurately recreate your ear without having to rely on old-fashioned ear-mold impressions.

AudioSense is a Yorkville-based audiology clinic that was founded in 2017 by Salima Jiwani. An experienced audiologist herself, Salima has more than a decade of experience in the field.

A key advantage this clinic has is their mastery over a wide range of specializations and services. Aside from the usual stuff like ear examinations and hearing aid fitting services, they can also provide assessments and treatments for ear-related issues like vertigo and concussions.

It’s also worth mentioning that they’re a distributor for Cochlear Canada Inc. and can provide upgrades and customizations for BAHA devices and cochlear implants. Thankfully, it’s quite easy to access most of their services, as they offer telehealth services.

However, it’s disappointing that they don’t have an online booking service available. You’ll need to contact their phone number to book your appointment.

I’m very thankful for this clinic!

“I’ve been struggling with tinnitus, hyperacusis and other auditory symptoms since sustaining a recent concussion. The whole AudioSense team has been fantastic in assisting with my recovery. The audiologist I’ve been seeing, Maddie, has been incredibly helpful and kind throughout this whole process, going above and beyond to provide me with advice and several techniques to manage my symptoms. I’m very thankful for this clinic!”

I highly recommend AudioSense for your hearing needs

“I highly recommend AudioSense for your hearing needs. I have a very complex medical history. Previous attempts to use hearing aids were extremely unsuccessful. Chantal’s knowledge and patience however made it possible for me to find aids which work for my needs. After sixteen challenging years of not being able to hear well, I feel like I am finally getting my life back. I can’t recommend AudioSense in general, and Chantal specifically, enough. Feeling very grateful!”
