Get your favourite comic books and character costumes ready because Toronto Comicon is back in 2025! This year’s celebration promises to be bigger and better than ever, and I couldn’t be more excited.
Comicon is all about celebrating the city’s geek culture. It brings together the best of comics, sci-fi, horror, anime, gaming, and cosplay under one roof.
One of the things I’m most excited about the event is the opportunity to meet celebrity guests. This year, the lineup includes several stars from the hit Amazon Prime show The Boys, including Karl Urban and Antony Starr.

We’ll also have the chance to meet actors from the acclaimed Supernatural series, like Ruth Connell, Jim Beaver, and my celebrity crush, Jared Padalecki.
And that’s just to name a few! I heard that there will also be some actors from other shows like The Acolyte and Buffy the Vampire Slayer!
Aside from the chance to secure autographs from my favourite stars and hear their stories, I’m also excited to catch the plethora of activities and events this year.
One I’m looking out for is The Sketch Duels, where professional comic artists go head-to-head in live drawing competitions. It’s going to be a treat to see what kind of amazing artworks these artists will conjure in a short amount of time.
Another thing I’m definitely checking out are the anime panels where attendees will have the chance to talk about their favourite anime shows and share trivia (bet you don’t know some of these!).

Of course, anime cosplay meetups will also be a highlight at this event. My friend, who’s a huge Chainsaw Man fan, is already hard at work on her Makima cosplay and is eagerly anticipating the chance to show it off.
And as I’ve mentioned earlier, gamers also have plenty to see here. There’ll be a gaming panel where the hottest games like Elden Ring and Final Fantasy will be discussed and debated.
There will also be gaming booths where you can give these games a try. I hope my friends and I can try some cool new AAA and indie games here!
If you love shopping, I’m thrilled to share that there will be a massive shopping area. This year promises a vast array of rare collectibles, comic books, unique artwork, and all sorts of merchandise. I just hope I can save up enough to cover all the purchases I’m planning to make!
