Milton has lots of conservation areas that you need to visit at least once when you’re in Canada. Among these conservation areas, the Rattlesnake Point Conservation Area is one of our favourite spots for trail running, especially during falls.
The park has several trails that you can take on for both hiking and trail running. The Bruce Trail is quite tough but it’s rewarding once you get near the cliff, and it connects to Crawford Lake, allowing you to explore another park.
The place is surrounded by tall ancient cedar trees that have been around for over 800 years, which helps make every run feel so peaceful. It also has several rock climbing spots that you can take on.

Lochland Botanicals is a family-owned farm in Campbellville where you can pick herbs and flowers. The farm has four fields with over 40,000 plants to help you build the perfect bouquet.
Aside from herb and flower picking, the farm also offers a wagon tour that tells visitors the farm’s history. If you have children, they’ll also absolutely love searching the secret villages hidden around the farm!
They also have some workshops for you to try! You can learn how to make your own tea, tincture, bouquet, and more!

Nestled within the Niagara Escarpment, the Hilton Falls Conservation Area is another conservation area that tourists and locals absolutely love in Milton. It boasts a diverse landscape, meandering trails, a stunning reservoir, and, of course, its iconic waterfall.
The park is the perfect place for an outdoor adventure, whether you love hiking or biking. In the winter, you can even do cross-country skiing and wait for chickadees to appear.
Don’t forget to bring your camera too because there’s a viewing station near the falls where you can appreciate its beauty and take some Instagram-worthy photos!

Waldie Blacksmith Shop is one of the oldest blacksmith shops in Ontario and one of the most unique shops to visit when you’re in Milton. It offers various activities and events for visitors, including blacksmith demonstrations and workshops.
If you want to experience being a blacksmith, enroll in their beginner-level or intermediate-level course, which focuses on lighting and maintaining fire and proper techniques in using blacksmithing tools.
After completing those courses, you can finally start making whatever you want, whether it’s a knife, tong, door hardware, or any other kitchen utensils you want!

Visiting Halton County Radial Railway is hands down one of the coolest things to do in Milton, especially for kids who are obsessed with trains. This is an operating museum that allows visitors to ride historic railway vehicles.
The museum’s vintage electric streetcars operate on two kilometres of scenic track, giving you the unique experience of riding a vintage railcar. Although the rides are only 20 minutes long, your tickets come with unlimited rides, so you can ride again!
Other than riding streetcars, you can also explore the museum’s gift shop, ice cream shop, picnic areas, barns, and railway stations during your stay.

If you’re into the popular show American Ninja Warriors, you can try just how well you’ll do in their challenges because Aspire also has ninja warrior courses and warped walls!

As we’ve said earlier, Milton is home to many jaw-dropping conservation areas, and Crawford Lake Conservation Area is one of them. Crawford, though, doesn’t just boast beautiful natural landscapes but also a historical village, perfect for history buffs!
There are three longhouses from the Wendat or Attawandaron village in the lake that help you understand the area’s history. Several programs, exhibits, and workshops that focus on its Indigenous history are also held at the lake.
Crawford also has several trails perfect for snowshoeing. During winter, you’ll find several people exploring the park and admiring various wood carvings while snowshoeing.
