After trying out a few, I’ve discovered some amazing places that consistently deliver top-notch work. Here’s my list of the best embroidery shops in Toronto so you can bring your designs to life with confidence.

Stitch Hub Embroidery is one of my go-to spots when I want something embroidered in a more unique way. They go beyond classic embroidery and offer specialized techniques like 3D embroidery, which uses a layer of foam to give designs a more pronounced effect.
I’m especially a fan of their chenille embroidery, a technique that creates a soft, fuzzy texture using chained stitches. If I remember right, they can even mix embroidery with sublimation printing if you want a more colourful design.
It’s also nice that they can source blank garments, which is convenient if you don’t already have something to embroider.
However, I don’t go here as often as I’d like because they have a minimum order of 12 pieces, which isn’t ideal for my simpler projects.

The Maxx Custom Embroidery is another shop worth checking out for specialized embroidery services. One of the cool things they offer is laser embroidery, which combines traditional stitching with laser precision—great for getting sharp, detailed designs that really stand out.
And if you have a digital design that you’d like replicated as an embroidered copy, they also offer digitizing embroidery services. Just send them your design, and their machines can quickly weave it onto various garments.
It’s also worth mentioning that they do custom embroidered patches, which is handy if you need to mass-produce several at once.
That said, some customers have reported issues with rude staff and inconsistent service, including finished products that don’t match the original design’s colours.

PrintBarn.ca is a solid spot I first found when I needed a unique gift for my cousin’s birthday. What caught my eye was their no minimum order policy, as most places make you order in bulk, but here, you can get just one item without any hassle.
As for the quality of their embroidery, it’s good. The stitching is clean, and the colours really hold up. They embroider on shirts, hats, bags, and a bunch of other stuff, so it’s good if you want something personalized.
You don’t even have to wait long since they can do same-day embroidery (for an extra fee, of course). And if you’re not local, their nationwide shipping means you can order from anywhere in Canada.
However, I’d love it if they lowered their pricing a bit, especially for rush orders.

They also have a customer satisfaction guarantee, meaning if there’s an issue with the embroidery, they’ll redo it at no extra cost. Plus, they ship across Canada and the US for free, which is a nice bonus.
Just keep in mind that they have minimum order requirements for most items. If you’re supplying your own clothing, they require at least 20 pieces before they can get started.
