As spring approaches, I’m ready to go green! And I don’t mean just seeing the city come back to life as snow melts away. I mean I’m ready to don my green top hat and join the St. Patrick’s Day parade!
St. Patrick’s Day, held on the 17th of March, celebrates the life of the patron saint of Ireland. But you don’t have to be Irish to join the fun!
This year’s festivities are spread throughout the city, and if you need pointers where to go, I got you! See you out there!

Where: Bloor St W & St George St to Yonge-Dundas Square
Of course, it won’t be a proper St. Patrick’s Day celebration if we don’t have a massive parade! This will kick off the festivities and showcase the proud and rich Irish heritage of our city.
It begins at the corner of St. George and Bloor Street West, near the St. George subway station. Then it will head east on Bloor St., turn south on Yonge St., and finish at Dundas St.
Starting at noon, the parade will last for about an hour and a half.
I can’t wait to see the array of colourful floats, marching bands, and cultural performances. Local schools, organisations, and community groups have come together to make it a truly inclusive event.

Another excellent way to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day is with a cold glass of green beer in your hand. That’s why I already bought my ticket for the upcoming St. Patrick’s Day Club Crawl Party.
It will kick off at exactly 7:30 in the evening and will continue until 2:00 AM the following day. The crawl starts at Ruby Soho and will include stops at several of the hottest bars and nightclubs in the city, such as Isabelle’s, 44 Toronto, and Century.
One of the highlights of the event is the live DJs who will be spinning the hottest tracks all night long. I’ve already prepared my best green attire for this party!
However, please take note that the event is limited to 500 attendees, so tickets are expected to sell out quickly. Make sure to get yours as soon as possible, especially with the early bird prices still in effect.

If you’re looking for an entertaining live performance with real Irish flavour, then you shouldn’t miss Hermitage Green. They’re an Irish acoustic folk rock band from Limerick, Ireland.
After listening to some of their songs on Spotify, I can see why they’re a good choice for this event. They play authentic Irish instruments like the bodhrán.
Their upcoming concert at TD Music Hall will include special guests like The Fógues, so it’ll be a great night of music and entertainment.
It’s a bit of a bummer that their concert is scheduled at the same time as the club crawl party I mentioned earlier. Fingers crossed I’ll get to catch a replay of their performance soon.

Another great party you can join to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day is at Supermarket Street. Right in the heart of downtown Toronto, the party will last from 11:00 PM until 2:00 AM the next day.
Like the bar crawl party I’m planning to attend, this one will also feature live DJs who will be spinning fun tracks to keep the crowd hyped.
With alcoholic drinks being served, this event is only open to ages 19 and up. Make sure to bring a valid government-issued ID to avoid any hassle at the entrance!

This party also promises an exciting night that’s filled with amazing tracks to keep you entertained. And because there will definitely be alcohol here, this will also be exclusive to adults.
Sadly, like the one on King West Street, this event will also only accept a limited number of guests. Only 400 attendees can join, so make sure to grab your tickets as soon as you can.

Aside from the DJs, you can enjoy live music by bands who’ll be playing a mix of traditional Irish tunes and contemporary hits.

Humour is also a great way to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, which is why I got myself a ticket to the Comedy Mayhem.
The show’s lineup features some of the most popular stand-up comedians in Toronto. I’m excited to see Liam Kelly, who’s a mainstay in a lot of local comedy clubs.
Other notable comedians set to perform include Luke Lyndale, whose energetic comedy style is always fun to watch, and Alia Rose, who’s best known for her sharp wit and sassy punchlines.
Seasoned comedians Dan Brennan and Harv Khatow will also be there, so buy your tickets ASAP if you’re a fan!

This year will introduce new performers, aptly named “The New Generation.” I’m excited to see how these fresh faces will bring their own energy to a show that has been captivating audiences for over 30 years!
